120 miles from London , 9 miles from Dorchester and about 15 miles from the coast. The journey from London takes about 2 ½ h and 2 h from Heathrow. Good train services run from Sherborne to Waterloo (2 h) and Dorchester to Wateroloo (2 ½ h). Good sailing is available in Weymouth (20 mins) and most of the Dorset Coast can be accessed within a 30 min drive including the Purbecks, Lulworth, the Chesil Beach and Bridport. The towns of Sherborne (Sainsbury's) and Dorchester (Waitrose) are equidistant about a 15 min drive both with good shops and restaurants. Bournemouth is a 40 min drive and Bath and Exeter one hour.
